I've gone 3 times. The first was Prime Rib which was overcooked due to the mushrooms on top I believe The 2nd I got steak & lobster very good. The 3rd I got steak & Scallops excellent. Their Salad Bar is fresh and excellent! Definitely check them out!

We chose The Publyk House for our rehearsal dinner and the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. The staff was extremely accommodating with our party size and the food was incredible. We especially loved the steak. The atmosphere was stunning overall and turned ethereal once golden hour hit with the incredible view of the rolling mountains.

First time here. Recommend getting reservations as the restaurant fills up quickly. Salad bar had plenty of choices and the lettuce selections as well as spinach was fresh. Loaf of warm bread with butter brought to table and pleasantly surprised how tasty it was. Saved some to dip in gravy from entree. Had the artichoke dip for an appetizer. Came covered with a layer of melted cheese which I tried but ended up pushing to the side because the dip was so tasty on the toasted bread it came with. Had the lobster bisque which had a strong lobster flavor and thick consistency but if you were expecting pieces of lobster you would not find any. The entrees were the meatloaf which is on the regular menu and a nightly special of pot roast. Come hungry because the meatloaf was huge. Meat tender and gravy tasty with just enough to cover but not drown the meal. The nice surprise was the meatloaf was sliced like a sandwich with the mashed potatoes inside. Every bite had a piece of each in it. Could not finish even a third of it. Plenty that could feed two people. The pot roast was melt in your mouth tender with a lovely gravy along with mashed potatoes and the side of vegetables were cut fresh not canned. Done just right, tender not mushy. Had dessert to go. Slice of carrot cake that was moist, great spices and frosting not overly sweet. Pictures do not do justify showing the portion sizes which were plentiful.

The property grounds are nice. It's rustic but still clean and not cluttered. My husband had the Stone Kitchen Pasta with Shrimp ($36). I had the meatloaf ($26). As you can see, that's overpriced but all entrees have the salad bar included. The salad bar was great and helped make it worthwhile. If the owner is reading this, continue to have the salad bar and don't skimp on it in the future to save money. I'll make the drive again for it. A loaf of hot bread came out and while I loved the idea of maple butter, the recipe could be tweaked; I thought it was too sweet and not creamy enough. We only drank water, did not get an appetizer, and it was still not cheap. But everything was good so we'll go back. Lastly, we chose to eat inside the dining room but it was nice outside and the patio was full. Fresh flowers in the bathroom and candles on the table are nice touches. I appreciate that they were kid-friendly (I walked by 2 other high chairs) and she brought another one over for us.

Just before our arrival we called to say that we were running late and also needed to adjust the reservation as one of the guests was sick and unable to attend. They were very gracious and amended our reservation. We arrived and were impressed with the friendliness at check in and the atmosphere of the restaurant. It’s Easter Sunday and things were busy but running like a well oiled machine. The stations were well organized with plenty of delicious brunch options. Food was hot and delicious and the service was friendly and swift. Our 4th guest arrived and wasn’t feeling great and was unable to eat unfortunately. I figured it was worth an ask to ask for a children’s rate since our daughter wasn’t able to eat. They decided not to charge as for her as she wasn’t able to eat as she was not feeling well. Thank you Publyk House for being so kind and gracious! Your restaurant is beautiful and Easter brunch was delicious!

I am a steak snob and I can honestly say Publyk House surprised me, in a good way. On top of serving a good steak, their staff is class A and the atmosphere is wonderful. Drinks are yum! And their bread and butter was a great addition to our meal.

We really enjoyed our first-time visit to the Publyk House. It was a beautiful evening, the temperature was just right, and we were able to dine outside, with a view to the mountains & the setting sun in the background. Our server was helpful, and pleasant. My wife was able to get her favorite, ...prime rib, medium rare, which came with a large baked potato, and access to their extensive salad bar. She paired that with a very nice Malbec. She said it was very, and didn't leave any on her plate. I had the lobster bisque(yummy) and a couple of crabcakes with a good aioli(or remoulade) on top. Desserts looked great, but we were too full to indulge. I had my eye on the warm peach cobbler, a la mode!

In town for the weekend for a wedding, and we decided on the Publyk House for dinner. The location gives great views of the mountains, and the outdoor deck has a great view of the Bennington Battle Monument. I knew I should have brought my camera. The structure is an old barn, which is also awesome. The whole vibe is very Vermont/New England. We didn't have a reservation, but the staff was more than welcoming to find us a table. We got there just in time, shortly after the place was mobbed. I had steak and scallops, and my wife had their BBQ spread. Everything was wonderful. The bread and maple butter is a must. They also have a salad bar with dinner, stacked with many options. Highly recommend for a great Vermont dining experience.
